Information and tips for getting to and around Lovina

Lovina is about a three hour drive from Bali's international airport.  While there is some public transport available, it can be quite uncomfortable and impractical if you have a lot of luggage.  The bus stations tend to be well outside the main tourist areas so just getting to them can be a hassle.

There is a shuttle bus service operated by Perama Tours which is a better option if you are on a budget.  If you have a couple of people in your group, you may wish to rent a car with a driver.  This really is the best option for getting around the island if you have just arrived.

Lovina Tours is one company which provides this service.  Airport pickups are just 400,000 rupiah.  They also have a range of tours around the north of Bali. 

While you are in Lovina you may want to try riding a scooter around.  They can be rented fairly cheaply and most of the bikes are automatic. Just make sure you wear a helmut!

New villa ready to move in!

I recently wrote about a villa under construction in Lovina and I am now happy to report that is has just been completed!  The villa is open plan and built around the pool, high on a hill behind Lovina.
